- 1 pkg. yeast
- 3 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. (less 1 Tbsp.) hot water
- 2 stiffly beaten egg whites
Directions

1Whip the whites until stiff and set aside.

2Put ingredients in bread machine in the order required by your machine.

3Start machine; after all ingredients are mixed, stop machine and add beaten egg whites.

6When dough is ready to form into loaf, let rest for 30 minutes.

7Sprinkle or mist with water and cut slits in top.

8Bake at 400° for 30 to 35 minutes.
