French Cherry Pie

  • 1-1/4 cup fine vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1-1/3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 pkg. French vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 can (1-1/3 lb.) cherry pie filling

    Combine first 3 ingredients in bowl; mix well.

    Press over bottom and sides of 9-inch pie plate.

    Bake at 375F for 8 minutes.

    Cool.

    Blend cold milk, sour cream and flavoring in mixer bowl.

    Add pudding mix.

    Beat at low speed for 1 minute.

    Pour into prepared pie shell.
