- 1 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 qt. milk
Directions

1In heavy frying pan, heat 1 cup sugar.

2Do not stir or touch until brown.

3Turn off stove and mix until melted.

4Pour into 2-quart deep dish casserole; set aside.

5Heat milk in saucepan on low.

6In another bowl beat eggs with 1/2 cup sugar, salt and vanilla.

7Add to milk gradually; mix.

8Pour over caramel in casserole.

9Place in large pan filled with water and bake at 325° for 2 hours.

10Cool and refrigerate.
