- 4 Tbsp. flour, heaped
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sugar
Directions

1Cook flour and milk over medium heat, stirring constantly until it starts to thicken.

2Reduce heat to low and continue to stir until thick and smooth.

3Remove from heat and let cool.

4This has to be cooked slow so it won't get lumpy.

5Cream together shortening and margarine.

6Then add to flour mixture and mix well.

7Add vanilla.

8Add sugar.
