French Onion Soup

- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 6 yellow onions
- 2 cans beef broth
- 1 1/2 c. sherry
- 6 slices (1/2-inch thick) French bread, toasted
- 3/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
Directions

1In skillet, melt butter and saute onions until browned.

2Add broth and sherry and simmer on low for 2 1/2 hours.

3Spoon soup into heatproof mugs; top with toasted bread.

4Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and top with slice of Swiss cheese.

5Broil until cheese melts.
