- 3 lb. stew meat, trimmed
- 3/4 pkg. creaming onions or 1 large can creaming onions
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
- 1 (No. 2) can tiny green beans, drained
- 1 (No. 2) can small peas, drained
- 1/2 c. wine or sherry
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 large carrots
- 1/2 can beef consomme
- 4 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
- 1/2 c. prepared bread crumbs
Directions

2Put in oven, covered, at 250° and cook for at least 6 to 7 hours.

3Takes about 25 minutes to prepare ingredients. Trim fat from meat. Do not open while cooking.

4Serve over wild rice or noodles. Serves 4 to 6 people.
