  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 40 g butter (for pan)
  • 4 slices bread (thick)

Directions

    Break eggs into a wide shallow dish and add the milk and vanilla extract.

    Beat mixture with a fork.

    Dip the bread into the egg mixture; let the excess run off; place in a buttered pan.

    Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

    When it is golden underneath, turn the bread over and cook other side.

    Transfer the french toast to a plate.
