- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 12 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 40 g butter (for pan)
- 4 slices bread (thick)

1Break eggs into a wide shallow dish and add the milk and vanilla extract.

2Beat mixture with a fork.

3Dip the bread into the egg mixture; let the excess run off; place in a buttered pan.

4Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

5When it is golden underneath, turn the bread over and cook other side.

6Transfer the french toast to a plate.

7When done, serve with ground cinnamon or sugar.
