  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 3 c. milk
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 8 eggs
  • 4 tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. butter, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Grease a 9 x 13 pan. Slice bread thick and put in pan. Beat all ingredients except butter and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight. Lay butter on top and bake, uncovered, at 350° for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
