- 2 slices whole wheat bred
- 1 slice Muenster, Swiss, Monterey Jack or American cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Make a sandwich with the bread and cheese, trimming cheese to neatly fit bread if necessary.

2Beat egg lightly in shallow dish. Dip sandwich into egg, turning bread to coat both sides.

3Fry sandwich in butter in skillet, over medium heat, until lightly browned on both sides, about 1 minute.

4Gently press down sandwich as it cooks to melt cheese.

5Serve immediately or wrap in aluminum foil to eat on the run within 30 minutes.
