  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 c. chopped raw apples
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 4 whole eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Sift all dry ingredients together in large mixing bowl.

    Add eggs, oil and flavoring, beating constantly.

    Fold in nuts and apples; blend well.

    Bake in large sheet pan greased and floured well in 350° oven about 45 minutes or until done in center.
