  • 4 c. apples, sliced and peeled (chopped)
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix apples, sugar, nuts, eggs, oil and vanilla.

    Sift dry ingredients and add to batter.

    Mix well.

    Lightly grease 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Pour in batter.

    Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes. Punch holes in warm cake.

    Frost with juice of 1/2 lemon, mixed with powdered sugar.
