  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. chopped and peeled eating apples

    Mix oil, eggs and sugar.

    Add apples.

    Sift together flour, soda and salt three times.

    Pour into two 9-inch greased pans lined with waxed paper.

    Put in cold oven.

    Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 325°.
