Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp. corn oil
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped thyme or tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. crushed fennel seed
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 apple, pared and shredded
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
  • pinch of nutmeg

Directions

    On medium heat in nonstick skillet, cook onion and apple in oil for 5 minutes, stirring until soft.

    Let stand until cool.

    In bowl, combine turkey, thyme, fennel, allspice, pepper and nutmeg. Add cooled onion and apple.

    Shape into patties.

    Heat nonstick skillet on medium heat.

    Cook about 3 1/2 minutes per side until browned and done.
