  • 5 cups fresh corn kernels
  • 2 cups finely-chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped red pepper
  • 12 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons celery seeds
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 cups cider vinegar

Directions

    Place all ingredients in a stainless steel or enameled saucepan (do not use aluminum) and bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally.

    Reduce heat, cover partially and simmer 20 minutes.

    Ladle into hot, sterilized jars to 1/8-inch of the top, seal.
