  • 3 c. cut-up fruit (apples, cherries, peaches or blueberries)
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. cooking oil
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 egg

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Arrange fruit in 9 x 9 x 1 3/4-inch pan. Sprinkle with 2/3 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons flour.

    Sift remaining dry ingredients in bowl.

    Add oil, milk and egg and stir with a fork until blended.

    Drop batter over fruit and bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
