- 1/2 lb. peaches, halved and pits removed
- 1/2 lb. plums, halved and pits removed
- 2 tbsp. raisins
- 1 qt. water
- 1 cup red wine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 to 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 2 tsp. water
Directions

1Put fruit in saucepan with water, wine, sugar and cinnamon.

2Cover; simmer 1 hour, until fruit is very tender.

3Force fruit through a sieve and return to liquid.

4Make a paste with cornstarch and 2 tsp.

6Stir into soup and bring to a boil.

7Reduce heat; cook 3 to 5 minutes.

8Remove cinnamon stick(s).

9Let cool, then chill.
