Fresh Glazed Peach Pie

  • 1 prepared and baked pie crust
  • 2 1/2 c. fresh sliced peaches
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • whipped topping

Directions

    Sprinkle the lemon juice over the peaches.

    Add 1/4 cup sugar and mix.

    Set aside for 1 hour.

    Drain the peaches, but save the juice.

    Add enough water to juice to make 1 cup.

    Mix together in a pan 1/2 cup sugar and the cornstarch.

    Cook until thick and clear.

    Remove from heat and cool.

    Add the salt, almond flavoring and the butter.

    Add the peaches.

    Turn into baked crust and cool. Serve with whipped topping.
