  • 1 recipe Three-Step Homemade Pasta
  • 1 thinly sliced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine cup
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 6 c. fresh baby spinach or torn spinach
  • 1/4 c. shaved Asiago cheese or Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Prepare Three-Step Homemade Pasta; set aside.

    In a 4-quart Dutch oven, cook onion in butter over medium heat for 7 minutes or until golden brown, stirring frequently.

    Add broth and pepper. Bring to boiling.

    Stir in the pasta.

    Top with spinach.

    Cook, covered, for 1 to 2 minutes more or until spinach and pasta are tender.

    To serve, ladle pasta into a bowl.
