  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. white syrup
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. strawberry jello
  • red food coloring
  • baked pie shell, cooled

Directions

    Clean whole strawberries and arrange in baked pie shell.
  2. 2
    Cook sugar, water, salt, cornstarch and syrup until thick and fairly clear.
  3. 3
    Take from stove and add jello and enough food coloring to give bright red color.
  4. 4
    Pour over berries, making sure to cover every berry.
  5. 5
    Let set before serving.

    Serve with whipped topping.
