- 3 medium (1 lb.) tart cooking apples, cored
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Cut ends from apples and slice each apple crosswise into 4 rings.

2In large skillet, melt butter and stir in sugar and cinnamon.

3Add layer of apple slices and cook over medium heat, turning once, until golden and tender but still intact.

4Stack slices at side of skillet when almost done and cook remaining apples. Serve warm topped with pan juices.

5Good with sausage links or patties, pork chops, ham or pancakes.
