- salt and pepper
- 1 Tbsp. lard
- 1/2 c. cream
- 3 Tbsp. cider vinegar
Directions

1Cut the cabbage very fine.

2Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stir well and let stand for 5 minutes. Drop lard onto a hot iron kettle; then the cabbage, stirring briskly until cabbage is quite tender.

3Add cream and remove kettle from the fire.

4Then stir in cider vinegar.
