  • Ginger- Large chunk
  • 1-1/2 C all pupose flour
  • 2 Tbs cornstarch
  • 2Tbs baking powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1-3/4 C ice water

Directions

    Prepare the batter 30 minutes before using Mix all the batter ingredients, stirring until smooth.

    Heat oil and add large chunk of ginger in pan.

    Dip the chicken in the batter; fry few pieces at a time in medium to high heat (about 5 minutes for chicken wings). Drain on paper towels.
