- 4 slices bacon
- kernels of 4 large ears corn
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. cold water
Directions

1Cook bacon in skillet until crisp; drain reserving 2 tablespoons bacon drippings.

2Add corn, 1 1/2 cups water, sugar and salt to bacon drippings in skillet.

3Bring to a boil.

4Simmer, covered, for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5Combine cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water in bowl; mix well.

6Stir into corn mixture.

7Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

8Pour into serving bowl.

9Crumble bacon over top.
