Fried Fruit Pies

- 1 (8 oz) pkg dried peaches or apples
- 2 c water
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1 can (10) biscuits
- shortening for frying
Directions

1In a medium size saucepan.

2Mix fruit, honey, sugar and water. Cook on medium-low heat for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3Cook until fruit is tender and liquid is thickened. More water may be needed.

4On a floured surface, roll each biscuit round and as flat as possible.

5Place about 2 Tbsp. of fruit mixture on pastry; fold and seal edges with a fork.

6Fry in shortening until brown on each side.

7Drain on paper towels.

8Makes 10 pies.
