  • 1 loaf sliced white bread, crusts removed
  • oil for frying
  • 1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream

Directions

    Place a scoop of ice cream between two bread slices.

    Form around the ice cream and pinch edges together.

    Wrap in foil and return to freezer immediately, for at least 2 hours.

    Heat oil to almost smoking.

    Drop each ice cream bread ball into hot oil individually.

    Cook for no more than 10 to 15 seconds per side. Remove.

    Garnish with chocolate syrup and whipped topping.
