  • 1 lb. fresh small button mushrooms
  • 1 beaten egg
  • flour
  • salt

Directions

    Wash and dry fresh, firm mushrooms.

    Dip in beaten egg and dredge in flour.

    Preheat oil to 375° on deep-fat thermometer or until a 1-inch cube of bread browns in 60 seconds.

    Fry mushroom until brown, then drain on paper towels.
