- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. instant potato flakes
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
- garlic or onion salt (optional)
Directions

1In a small bowl, combine egg and water.

2In another bowl, combine salt and potato flakes.

3Dip mushrooms, one at a time, in the egg mixture.

4Toss in the second mixture, adding more potato flakes as needed.

5Fry in oil 2 to 4 minutes or until golden brown.

6Drain on paper towels.

7Sprinkle with garlic or onion salt.
