- 1 lb. fresh okra
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Wash and trim okra; slice into 1/4-inch pieces.

2Heat vegetable oil in deep fryer or skillet to about 350°.

3Mix buttermilk and egg.

4Mix flour and salt.

5Dip okra pieces into buttermilk and egg, then roll in flour.

6Deep fry okra until golden brown, about 3 minutes.

7Drain on paper towels.
