Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup beer
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce I use Valentina's yellow label
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 32 ounces dill pickles sliced, drained
  • vegetable oil

Directions

    Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl and stir well.

    Combine 3 cups flour and next 4 ingredients, stirring well.

    Dip pickle slices in egg mixture then dredge in flour mixture.

    Pour oil to depth of 2in. in a large deep skillet and heat to 375 degrees F.

    Fry pickles in batches in hot oil % min. or until lightly browned.

    Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
