- 4 large green tomatoes (2 lb.)
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 to 3 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. bacon drippings
Directions

1Cut tomato in slices 1/2-inch thick.

2Mix flour and 1/2 of sugar.

3Sprinkle on both sides of the slices the remaining sugar and salt.

4Dip the slices in the flour and sugar mixture.

5Let stand for 5 minutes and dip again.
