  • 4 firm tomatoes (green or red)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Dip into egg and then into crumbs.

    Melt butter in skillet.

    Add tomato slices and cook until golden brown on each side.
