Ingredients
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. liquid smoke
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 lb. lean meat, thinly sliced 3/16 to 1/4-inch thick
Directions

1In a small bowl, combine all ingredients except meat.

2Stir well.

3Place meat 3 or 4 layers deep in a glass, stoneware, plastic or stainless steel container, spooning liquid mixture over each layer.

4Cover tightly.

5Marinate 6 to 12 hours in the refrigerator, stirring occasionally and keeping the mixture tightly covered.

6Lay on greased racks.

7Place in 160° oven for 4 to 5 hours.

8Turn oven down to 130° and continue to bake until dry.

9Makes 1/4 pound jerky.
