- 1/2 c. soft butter
- 1/3 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
- dash of salt
- 2/3 c. chopped pitted dates
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cream together thoroughly butter and powdered sugar.

2Stir in water and vanilla.

3Add flour and dash of salt.

4Mix well.

5Stir in dates and nuts.

6Roll in 1-inch balls.

7Place 2 1/2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

8Bake at 300° for 20 minutes or until cookies are set, but not brown.

9While warm, roll in powdered sugar.
