- 2 c. Quaker oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1In a medium bowl, combine oats, sugar and margarine; mix well. Spread in a greased 9-inch square pan.

2Bake in preheated 350° oven for 13 minutes, or until light golden brown; cool.

3In a small, heavy saucepan over low heat (or in microwave), melt chips.

4Spread over oat mixture; sprinkle with nuts.

5Refrigerate until chocolate is set.

6Cut into 2 x 1 1/2-inch bars.

7Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.

8Makes about 2 dozen bars.
