- 5 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together; cut in shortening.

2Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to milk.

3Add milk to dry mixture; mix well.

4Turn onto floured surface; fold over, working in small amounts of flour several times.

5Pat or roll out to desired thickness; cut and place on greased cookie sheet and freeze.

6As soon as the biscuits are frozen, place in freezer bags or containers.

7To use, defrost 30 minutes before baking.

8Bake at 400° until brown.

9This recipe makes 60 to 80 small biscuits or about 35 medium biscuits.
