- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk scalded
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 c. heavy cream, whipped
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix cornstarch and sugar thoroughly.

2Stir in hot milk and cook in double boiler top, stirring occasionally until thickened. Beat egg yolks.

3Stir in hot mixture gradually, stirring constantly.

4Cook over simmering water, stirring occasionally until mixture coats a spoon.

5Chill.

6Fold into egg whites which have been beaten with salt until stiff.

7Fold in whipped cream and vanilla.

8Pour into refrigerator tray and freeze until firm. Serves 6.
