  • 6 to 8 firm green tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. corn meal
  • frying chickens, cut up
  • flour
  • black pepper
  • shortening
  • sage or poultry seasoning
  • salt

Directions

    Mix the flour, salt, pepper and seasoning together. Shake all water off chicken. Dip in the dry mix and fry until done, about 30 minutes.

    Place in a clean, dry hot canning jar. Cover with the hot oil or shortening you fried the chicken in and seal.
