Ingredients

  • 6 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 3 qt. water
  • 1 large pineapple juice
  • 1 large Hi-C orange drink
  • 4 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple or can use large can
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries, chopped fine
  • 3 qt. ginger ale

Directions

    Boil first 2 ingredients until syrupy.

    Add remaining ingredients, except ginger ale, and mix well.

    Pour into 2 plastic gallon jugs.

    Freeze.

    Thaw 2 1/2 hours before serving.

    Add 1 1/2 quarts ginger ale to each slightly thawed gallon of frozen mixture.

    Mixture should be slushy.
