- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 c. self-rising flour, sifted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon
- 4 c. chopped pecans
- 2 lb. mixed candied fruit or 1 lb. pineapple and 1 lb. cherries
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time.

2Fold in 1 cup flour. Add vanilla and lemon.

3Mix remaining cup of flour with fruit and nuts. Add to cake mixture.

4Use Bundt pan or 2 loaf pans. Bake at 250° for 2 1/2 hours.
