  • 1 lb. dates
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
  • 1/2 lb. candied fruit
  • 2 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 3 c. pecans
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 3/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. mace

Directions

    Mix fruit and nuts. Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Add dry ingredients and flavors. Add fruit. Oil pan well. Sprinkle pan with flour after oiling it. Cook at 275° for approximately 3 hours or until done.
