- 2 lb. fruit (dates, pineapple, etc.)
- 1 lb. nuts
- 1 lb. pecans
- 1/2 lb. cherries
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix fruit and nuts together.

2(Do not chop.)

3Beat yolks and whites separately.

4Add vanilla to yolks.

5Pour yolks over the nut mixture slowly.

6Sift dry ingredients 3 times.

7Add dry ingredients and beaten whites to fruit and nut mixture.

8Put in oven at 250° for 1 1/2 hours.

9Do not preheat oven before putting cake in.
