- 1 (1 lb.) can fruit
- 1 c. water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Heat fruit, water and 1/3 cup sugar until it comes to a boil. Mix 3/4 cup sugar, flour, baking soda, salt and milk.

2Melt butter in a flat baking dish (rather deep).

3Pour in hot fruit mixture, then pour in batter on top.

4Cook about 30 minutes in a 350° oven.
