- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. fruit
- 1 c. boiling water
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
Directions

1Combine 1 cup sugar, flour, shortening, milk, baking powder and salt.

2Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan.

3Mix remaining sugar, margarine and boiling water.

4Pour over batter.

5Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 400°.
