- 2 c. fruit
- 1/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Place fruit in bottom of baking dish.

2Cream together butter and 3/4 cup sugar.

3Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

4Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

5Spoon this over fruit.

6Sift together 1 cup sugar and cornstarch and sprinkle over dough on fruit.

7Pour boiling water on top.

8Bake at 350° for 60 minutes.
