Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 lb. margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 large can fruit (peach, apricot, cherries or fruit cocktail) or equal amount of fresh fruit

Directions

    Melt 1/4 pound margarine in Pyrex baking dish.

    Mix sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and vanilla.

    Pour into dish with margarine.

    Add one large can of fruit, as desired.

    Then sprinkle sugar over the top.

    Bake at 350° until crust rises to the top and turns golden brown.
