- 1/2 c. butter or oleo
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 c. fruit
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/3 c. milk
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

3In a saucepan, heat sugar and water until sugar melts.

4Cut shortening into flour until particles are like fine crumbs.

5Add milk and stir with fork until dough leaves sides of bowl.

6Turn out onto lightly floured board.

7Knead just until smooth.

8Roll dough into large rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.

9Sprinkle fruit over dough.

10Roll up dough like a jelly roll.

11Slice dough into 16 slices 1/2-inch thick.

12Place in pan.

13Pour sugar syrup over rolls.

14Bake 45 to 60 minutes.
