- 12 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water or 2 cups juice
- 1 12 cups self rising flour
- 12 cup shortening
- 13 cup milk
- 2 cups fruit (Note, if using apple, add 1 teaspoon cinnamon)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Melt butter in a 9 x 13 x 2 inch dish.

3Heat sugar and water (or juice) until melted.

4Cut shortening and flour into fine crumbs.

5Add milk and stir until dough leaves bowl side.

6Turn onto floured board.

7Knead slightly and roll to 1/4 inch thick.

8Sprinkle fruit evenly over dough.

9Roll up like jelly roll.

10Dampen edge and seal.

11Place into butter.

12Slice inot about 16 slices.
