- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 qt. canned fruit
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Melt butter and pour into a 9 x 12 x 2-inch baking dish. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and milk.

2Pour into pan. Drain fruit and combine with water and sugar.

3Carefully pour into pan.

4Bake in a 375° oven for about 1 hour.

5When done, batter will have risen to the top and should be a beautiful brown.
