  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 can drained sliced peaches (or any fruit)
  • cinnamon

Directions

    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.

    Melt butter in small saucepan.

    Pour milk into dry ingredients, then add melted butter.

    Blend thoroughly and pour into a shallow baking dish.

    Place peaches on top and sprinkle with cinnamon.

    Bake in preheated 400° oven about 40 minutes. Serves six.
