Fruit Cocktail Cake

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can fruit cocktail with juice
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. pecans, chopped
  • 3/4 stick oleo
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. coconut

Directions

    Combine flour, sugar (1 1/2 cups), egg and fruit.

    Pour in greased oblong pan.

    Mix brown sugar and pecans and spread on top of mixture and bake 30 minutes at 350°.

    Combine oleo, milk and sugar (3/4); cook for 5 minutes.

    Add coconut, if desired, and spread on hot cake.
